Nordica Hot Rod Jet Fuel System Skis

Jim's Review:

The Nordica Jet Fuel is a wider waisted ski that thinks it is a race ski. The top and bottom metal layers and the fully integrated X Balance binding system give this ski a unique feel. The Jet is supple, smooth and very powerful. Although the ski is not excessively stiff, it has great dampening and possibly the best edge grip in class. When I tested the Jet Fuel this byear, I couldn't find snow hard enough or rough enough to shake the ski loose. Among skis in this width range, the JF is among the most solid feeling when up on edge and cruising at speed. Despite the fairly wide 84mm waist, this is a ski that relishes speed and hard snow more than powder. For cut up stuff, crud, and shallow powder, this ski is a good choice. However, the JF is not at it's best when the snow is real deep. The Jet is for the skier with a high skill level and is somewhat groomer oriented, but wants a wider ski for occasional off trail forays.

Mike's Review:
The Jet Fuel even though at a 84mm waist is my choice for my one ski quiver. Although not a performer on deep snow it rails on groomers and blows through crud.

The Jet Fuel uses a fully integrated binding system with the mounting rail embedded rigth into the core of the ski. The binding is a Marker with a DIN range of 3-12.
